ELEVATE currently serves more than 1,500 underserved youth between the ages of 6-19 in 14 different Orange County Public Schools. ELEVATE's unique, proven model uses full-time Teacher/Mentors who facilitate 3 interdependent program areas: 1) Instruction in the Public School - ELEVATE Orlando currently employs 14 Teacher/ Mentors who teach daily elective, credited classes at Evans, Oak Ridge, and Jones high schools five days per week. ELEVATE staff makes themselves available to students. This consistent presence in the lives of our youth is unique to our approach and directly impacts our effectiveness. 3) Post-Secondary Preparation ELEVATE's main focus is to prepare our students for personal advancement after high school graduation by helping them develop a successful plan for the future. 100% of ELEVATE seniors receive one-on-one post-secondary counseling sessions and work with their Teacher/Mentors to complete college or trade-school applications, scholarship/financial aid applications, and military applications based on their area of interest and personal goals.
